How to make Roasted Seaweed Snacks at home?

The Imokase Roasted Seaweed Snacks, developed by Auntie Omakase (Also called Auntie Imokase), bring a unique taste from the blend of sesame and perilla oil, crafted by her lifetime of chef experience.  This video demonstrates how to make Imokase Seaweed Sheets at home. 

Preparation: 

  • Seaweed sheets
  • Sesame and perilla oil
  • Sea salt 

Procedure: 

  1. Mix sesame and perilla oil (50:50 ratio).
  2. Apply the mixed oil to the seaweed sheets (try applying evenly).
  3. Spray a little sea salt.
  4. Roast the seaweed sheet at the lowest temperature (roast the sheet front and back; turn over as you roast the sheet).
  5. Finish roasting when you see a light green color in the seaweed sheets.  (Try not to over-roast it.)
